Bdo Sometimes My Attack Wont Do Dmg Get

  • BDO Boat Stuck or Sunk? Help!
    • Release and Regrab the Wheel: Boats often get stuck by the wharf manager, when you try to leave. Sometimes there is another ship on top of you or sometimes nothing will be there, but you are still stuck. This is the technique I use and it usually works. Release the wheel and regrab it again. Try NOT to back out or go forward in a turn! Back out straight or go forward straight. If you are still stuck, try releasing and grabbing again.
    • Go Back to the Wharf Manager: This is the second technique I use, if the above doesn’t work. Check in/Check out again!
    • Ship Summon: You can teleport your boat to your location. You must be within the right distance, though. Press LMB over the ship anchor icon in the top left of your UI, at a distance of 30-40. If you get too close, it will teleport YOU to the ship instead. If you are too far, you will get an error. To see if you are at the correct distance, press RMB over the anchor icon. The little numbers that pop up show your distance.
    • Escape Option:If the ship summon doesn’t help, there is also the Escape option. Press Esc key and then the “Escape” button in the game interface. You will be transported to a “safe” area, but without your ship! The times I have used it, I was placed on the beach of the main land. Don’t do this unless you have no other choice, because you don’t know exactly where it will place you. Note that if you do this in the Great Ocean, it will NOT put you on the main land. It puts you in a safe location in the Great Ocean water, which doesn’t help. You will have to Remote Collect your ship, which usually comes with severe penalites! (ex. Sick Sailors, 0 Durability, Destroyed items)
    • Contact Support Option:You can use the in-game support and let them know your boat is stuck. My sister did this once and they transported her and her boat all the way to Velia, even though she was way over in the deep sea by Port Epheria. This option can take over a day to complete, so you will have to play an alt while you wait. Use at your own risk!
    • Old Moon Flare:Costs 300 Loyalties (F3). This will make a rescue ship spawn and sail to Port Ratt or Lema Island. It can be a bit buggy. Sometimes nothing happens and you may have to use two.
  • Can I sail to Margoria with a Fishing Boat or non-Epheria ship?
    • It’s possible to cross the Great Ocean on a lower tier, non-Epheria ship, like a Fishing Boat, but it’s NOT recommended, unless you really know what you are doing. A low tier ship can only take 1 or 2 hits from hostile sea monsters, and it’s not easy to outrun a Nineshark in a slow boat. To have any chance of not getting stranded in the middle of the ocean on a wimpy ship, you have to be very vigilant and careful. Hekaru (big purple whale) and Ocean Stalker (green sea snake) are friendly unless attacked. However, Pirate ships and every other sea monster will be hostile. Avoidance Tip: study a sea monster map and steer clear of sea monsters with white and light blue coloring. You’ll notice that if you skirt around the northern edge, you can avoid much of the Pirate and Nineshark spawn locations. In your game settings, have viewing distance at max and run around everything suspicious in the water. *Gulp!* Good Luck you Fish monger!
    • Take a ferry, if you don’t have an Epheria ship, but would like to visit Port Ratt for questing and Knowledge. Ferry to Port Ratt Guide
  • Can I use a traveler’s map to teleport to Port Ratt?
    • Only if you have discovered Port Ratt already! (The map fog is gone.) You can use a Traveler’s Map, when you reach Ross Sea and it will teleport you to Port Ratt.

On several occasions now, more often than not actually, when I dynamax in a raid battle my super effective attacks do very little damage. For example, in a raid against a 3 star Butterfree the max flare attached to my pyro ball on a level 100 Cinderace did hardly any damage, but the npc’s evee was able to chunk it with a quick attack. I'm a peaceful player and won't initiate random attacks on someone else, however if someone attacks me I get REALLY ticked off, my blood starts to boil and I will endeavour to DESTROY them. Hehe If someone kills you, he will lose some karma.

  • Can a Fishing Boat survive a ghost/phantom ship?
    • The ghost ship doesn’t do too much damage to a ship. It will leave Fishing Boats alone and only stops higher tier ships like the Galley/Epheria Ships.
  • Is a Cog ship faster than an Epheria ship?
    • Cog ship has fast speed and even feels faster than an Epheria ship, when the current and wind is at 0. The more distance you get from the mainland, the more current and wind you have to fight against. Epheria ships are able to fold their sails to avoid weather and you can also use ship skills to help with speed. Cog ships don’t allow ship skills. Cog ships are good for beginner areas, but be careful venturing too far in them. (Another limitation is they have a limited Lifespan that can’t be repaired.)
  • Can I harpoon off my Epheria ship?
    • You can only harpoon off of a Fishing Boat. Galleys/Epheria ships can’t be used if you want to do any harpooning.
  • Do i have to buy more than one cannon for the Epheria ships?
    • You automatically have a cannon, but you can purchase a green grade one at the vendor, and can craft a blue grade cannon in a workshop. You only need to make/buy/enhance one cannon and they will be used for all the cannons you see on the higher tier ships that have cannons.
  • How many repair materials/kits should i bring?
    • Voyages from Port Epheria to Port Ratt and back to Port Epheria won’t require repair kits on an Epheria Sailboat. However, if you are hunting sea monsters, you will want tier 2 (blue grade) repair kits. But if possible, you’re better off sailing to a Wharf Manager and repairing. Repair kits are really only useful if you have another player helping. (Expect to spend 1 million silver for full repair at a Wharf Manager.)
  • Can I get killed in PVP on a ship?
    • Other players can flag for PVP and attack you and your boat as long as you are near it and you are level 50+. Olvia server doesn’t allow PVP. I also caution you not to go AFK on your ship, even if you think it’s in a safe zone. I did this once, and when I came back someone had somehow picked me up and deposited me by a hostile sea monster spawn. If you decide to flag up for PVP, and destroy another player’s ship, even a Raft, Rowboat, etc. in forced PvP mode, your Karma will decrease by 200,000. You cannot destroy other players ships, if they are not nearby.
  • Do I need workers for an Epheria or a Guild Ship?
    • You can exchange 30 Shakatu Seals for an Epheria Sailboat and you can quest for some ships. Upgrading ships does not require a shipyard or workers. But to craft a ship in a shipyard, you will want many regular city workers. You can also obtain Sailors for higher tier Epheria ships, but these are seperate from city workers. Sailors buff your ship and find treasure on barter islands. Sailors aren’t required, but are nice to have.
  • Do I need to load the cannon after each shot?
    • Cannonballs are purchased at the <Wharf Manager> for 1,000 Silver each. Cannons automatically reload as they are fired. Click on the option to “Buy Supplies” at the <Wharf Manager>. There is a cannon reload timer, specific to each ship.
  • Can I hunt sea monsters solo?
    • It is very difficult now to hunt sea monsters solo, unless you have an Improved Epheria or greater boat that has Captain controlled cannons. (This just means that the boat automatically aims and fires the cannon, after you click RMB or LMB.) For player controlled cannons, you can’t move the ship and fire cannons at the same time. The Ram boat skill is solo friendly, but it has a heavy cost in ship Durability. Ship gear is important for sea monster hunting. Allot will depend upon the enhancement level of your cannon and plating of the ship. Preferably +7, but that is expensive to obtain. At least have +5 green gear.
  • Which T2 Epheria ship is best?
    • Frigate and Sailboat comparison…
    • Epheria Sailboat:25 inventory slots. 5,000LT weight limit. 10% lower Speed, Brake, Accel, Turn. 2 cannons. Much cheaper to buy or build. Blue boat gear requires 50% less materials.
    • Epheria Frigate:12 inventory slots. 4,000LT weight limit. 10% higher Speed, Brake, Accel, Turn. 4 cannons. Blue gear requires 50% more mats.
    • TLDR: Epheria Sailboat excels at trading and barter. Epheria Frigate is better at manuverability and battle.
