Highlander: The Series is a slight retcon of the 1986 feature film of the same name, it features a story-line in which the protagonist of the film (Connor MacLeod, a member of a race of ' Immortals ') has not won 'the Prize' sought by all Immortals, who still exist post-1985. A total of 119 episodes aired over the course of 6 seasons.

Have you ever wondered how rich John Deacon is, as of early 2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Deacon`s net worth is as high as $115 million. Apart from playing bass, John also wrote some of Queen`s most popular songs, including “Another One Bites the Dust”, “You’re My Best Friend”, and “I Want to Break Free”, and was also responsible for the group’s finances.

John Deacon Net Worth $115 Million

John is the son of Arthur Henry and Lilian Molly Deacon; he has a younger sister named Julie. His father was working for an insurance company at Norwich Union, and the whole family moved to the dormitory town. John went to Linden Junior School in Leicester, and then when the family moved to the new town of Oadby in 1960, he went to Gartree High School, and Beauchamp Grammar School. As he got older, John became interested into electronics, and after high school enrolled at Chelsea College in London, graduating with a 1st class honors degree in Electronics in 1971.

John`s career beginnings trace back to when he was only 14 years old, as he started to play bass guitar for the band from Oadby called The Opposition. This lasted through his high school years, but he left the band in order to focus on college education. Before he joined Queen, he formed his own band Deacon, but facing troubles and inability to book more live shows he disbanded the group, and on a recommendation from his friend, he auditioned for Queen, who had fired their previous bassist, so becoming a member of the band, and in two years they released their first self-titled album (1973), which achieved gold status in both the UK and US, and reached No. 24 on the UK charts.

Encouraged by the success of the album, they continued in the same line-up and the following year released their second album “Queen II”, which reached No. 5 on the UK chart, also achieving gold status, and so increasing John`s net worth to a large degree.

The group continued to dominate the music scene, and little by little increased popularity with every album that followed, such as “Sheer Heart Attack” (1974), “A Night at the Opera” (1975), which became their first No. 1 album on the UK chart, “A Day at the Races” (1976), and “Jazz” (1978), which only cemented their place in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame, as the albums sold multi-million copies, increasing John`s net worth by a large margin. In 1980 they had another No. 1 album – “The Game” – which also became their first album to top the US Billboard 200 chart, and the same year they released “Flash Gordon”.

Two years later their next album came out “Hot Space”, and although it was less popular than its predecessors, it nevertheless still achieved gold status in the UK. In 1986 Queen released one of their most successful albums “A Kind of Magic”, which spawned such hits as “Friends Will Be Friends”, “Who Wants to Live Forever” as well as the title song among others, all of which helped sales of the album which eventually reached more than six million.

Three years later out came “The Miracle”, and in 1991 “Innuendo” was released, the last album released by the band during Mercury`s lifetime, as he died that year from consequences caused by AIDS. Following Mercury`s death, John decided to retire from music, but still stayed until the release of the album “Made in Heaven”, posthumously to Freddie`s death and featuring recordings and the music made by the original members, Brian May and Roger Taylor, including John. The album topped the UK chart, and reached multiple platinum status in several countries, including UK, Germany, Austria and France, which also improved John`s net worth. John stayed out of the scene after the release of the album, and didn’t even appear on the band`s induction into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of fame in 2001. Sailor moon greek episodes online.

John retired stating that it was impossible to replace Freddie Mercury, and didn’t approve of occasional subsequent performances of the other surviving group members – Brian May and Roger Taylor – playing Queen’s songs.

Regarding his personal life, he has been married to Veronica since 1975; the couple has six children.
